How the Aerobús works
There are two lines. The A1 serves Terminal 1 and the A2 serves Terminal 2 (it leaves for the city from stop T2C and arrives at T2B). Both run to the same city stops and, according to Aerobús, take about 30 to 35 minutes depending on the time of day. The service runs 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Tickets are valid for 90 days from the date of purchase, and a return ticket is valid for a further 90 days from the outbound journey, according to the operator’s rates page. Buy only on the official site or at the stops: an old Aerobús web address that still appears in some guides no longer leads to the operator.
Aerobús price (checked 4 November 2026)
These are the fares published by the operator on its rates page. Fares change from time to time, so confirm the amount before you buy.
| Ticket | Price | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| One way | €7.75 | Valid for 90 days from purchase |
| Return | €13.30 | The return journey is valid for a further 90 days |
| Children under 4 | Free | According to the operator |
| One way + metro/bus single | €10.15 | Includes one Aerobús journey and one single ticket on the TMB network |
| Hola Barcelona 24 h + Aerobús return | €24.35 | Travel card for 24 hours plus a return Aerobús ticket; 48, 72, 96 and 120 hour versions also exist |
The operator also lists discounts for single-parent and large families on one-way tickets, available only through the driving and stop personnel. If you also plan to use the metro, compare with the metro and bus tickets guide before buying a combined ticket.
Aerobús stops
According to the operator’s FAQs, these are the stops in each direction. Plaça Universitat and T2C are used only on journeys from the airport to the city.
| Line | City to airport | Airport to city |
|---|---|---|
| A1 (Terminal 1) | Plaça de Catalunya, Carrer Sepúlveda, Plaça d’Espanya, Terminal 1 | Terminal 1, Plaça d’Espanya, Gran Via–Borrell, Plaça Universitat, Plaça de Catalunya |
| A2 (Terminal 2) | Plaça de Catalunya, Carrer Sepúlveda, Plaça d’Espanya, Terminal 2B | Terminal 2C, Plaça d’Espanya, Gran Via–Borrell, Plaça Universitat, Plaça de Catalunya |
The Aerobús does not stop at Barcelona Sants station or at Barcelona Nord bus station. If you need either, see Sants to the airport and the Barcelona Nord guide. Not sure which terminal you need? Our T1 and T2 guide explains it.
Schedule and frequency
The Aerobús runs day and night. The operator publishes the timetable for each line and direction on its lines, stops and schedules page, with a view of upcoming arrivals at each stop. We do not quote a frequency here because it changes with the time of day, on Sundays and on public holidays: check that page the day before you travel.
If you land very late or very early, the bus is still running, but remember the last stretch from the stop to your hotel. Our guides to arriving at night and to an early-morning flight explain what else is running at those hours.
Luggage, pushchairs and wheelchairs
According to the operator, the buses have a reserved interior space for wheelchairs, baby strollers, bicycles and large luggage. Keep an eye on your hand luggage: the operator says it is not liable for damage, theft or loss of items you carry with you.
The space is shared by everyone on board, so on a busy bus a family with a pushchair and several large cases may find it tight. That is one of the situations covered in travelling with a lot of luggage or a group.

When a private car with driver is better than the Aerobús
The Aerobús is hard to beat for one or two travellers with ordinary luggage staying next to one of its stops. A pre-booked private car with driver is usually the easier choice when:
- you travel as a family or a group of four or more with suitcases, and want one vehicle for everyone (see lots of luggage or a group);
- you travel with young children and need child seats fitted before you set off (see kids and car seats);
- your hotel or apartment is not near a stop, and you would otherwise add a metro, bus or taxi at the end;
- you land late at night or very early, and prefer a driver waiting in arrivals over a walk with your bags;
- you have reduced mobility or heavy equipment (see reduced mobility at the airport);
- you want the price settled before you travel.
QuickPickups, which publishes this guide, sells this service: a licensed vehicle with a driver who meets you in arrivals, with your flight tracked and a fixed price. The booking box on this page is theirs and is marked as such.

Booking a private transfer: the usual questions
- Is the price really fixed?
- Yes. You see the full price for the vehicle before you pay, and it does not change with traffic, the route or the time of day.
- What if my flight is late?
- Your flight number is tracked in real time and the pick-up time is adjusted. At the airport you get 60 minutes of free waiting after landing; at the cruise port, 30 minutes.
- How will I find the driver?
- At the airport the driver meets you in the arrivals hall with a name sign. Your confirmation email has the contact details.
- Can I get child seats?
- Yes, on request when you book, for a small supplement shown before you pay. Tell us the age or weight of each child.
- Can I get an invoice?
- Yes. QUICKPICKUPS S.L. can issue an invoice for your booking, including one made out to your company.
- What if my plans change?
- Cancellations made more than 24 hours in advance are free. You can manage the booking from your confirmation email or by writing to info@quickpickups.es.
