Getting around

How to get to Parc del Fòrum

Parc del Fòrum, at the north-eastern end of Barcelona’s seafront, hosts some of the city’s biggest music festivals and open-air concerts. It is well connected by metro and tram, but tens of thousands of people leaving at once in the early hours need a plan.

Getting there

  • Metro: L4 (yellow line) to El Maresme|Fòrum, a short walk from the site. L4 connects with L1 at Urquinaona, L3 at Passeig de Gràcia and L2 at La Pau.
  • Tram: line T4 to the Fòrum stop.
  • On festival nights, TMB usually reinforces the metro and publishes special services; check its notices for your date.

Lines and stops: TMB map and TRAM. Metro hours: TMB.

Leaving after the last act

The metro is the simplest way back, but the station fills up when the main stage finishes. Walking a few stops along the seafront or Diagonal before boarding can be quicker than queuing. The metro runs all night on Saturdays and until late on Fridays and the eve of holidays, according to TMB; on other nights it closes earlier, so check before you count on it.

Streets around the site are closed or congested at the end of big events. If a car is collecting you, agree a meeting point a short walk away from the exits, not at the gate.

Planning your stay

For a festival weekend, a hotel near L4 or on the Diagonal Mar side saves the longest night journeys; see where to stay by transport. Festival-goers often arrive with luggage on Friday and leave on Monday: QuickPickups, which publishes this guide, sells private transfers from the airport to your hotel at a fixed price agreed when you book; its booking box is marked on this page.
